Kelly Gonez Receives Crucial Endorsements in Race for School Board

City of San Fernando Vice Mayor Joel Fajardo and San Fernando Councilmember Sylvia Ballin endorse Kelly Gonez

 LOS ANGELES – Today Vice Mayor of San Fernando Joel Fajardo and San Fernando Councilmember Sylvia Ballin officially announced their endorsement of Kelly Gonez’s campaign for school board. These endorsements reflect the strong community support Kelly is receiving and add to Kelly’s coalition of Northeast San Fernando Valley families, elected officials, and community leaders.

“As a teacher, policymaker, and lifelong advocate for families, Kelly knows the critical issues facing our schools and is best equipped to make excellent public education a reality for every child in our community,” said Vice Mayor Fajardo.

“Kelly has strong roots in our community and I am looking forward to working together to give all of our children the future they deserve,” said Councilmember Ballin. 

Kelly is running for school board to ensure all children receive a great education that paves the way for a bright future.

“I am honored to have the support of two prominent members of our community,” said Kelly. “I look forward to working with Vice Mayor Fajardo and Councilmember Ballin in ensuring our students get the best education possible.” 

Kelly is a resident of Sylmar with her husband, Manuel. She teaches 7th grade science at a STEM-focused charter middle sc shool in LAUSD.
