LOS ANGELES – Today District 6 School Board Member, Mónica Ratliff, endorsed Kelly Gonez’s campaign for school board. As Board Member Ratliff currently holds the seat, her endorsement is a significant milestone for Kelly Gonez’s campaign that reflects not only her qualifications for School Board, but also the strong coalition of support that Kelly has built.
“As a fellow classroom teacher, Kelly has the knowledge and experience to bring concrete solutions to support our teachers and principals and strengthen our schools,” said Board Member Ratliff. "It is essential that children, youth, and families have an independent voice on the School Board who will always put them first. Kelly Gonez will always put children and youth above politics as can be seen by her track record. I am endorsing Kelly, voting for Kelly, and hope others will join me in getting to know her positions and supporting her."
“Board Member Mónica Ratliff has fought tirelessly for every student in our district on the school board. She knows firsthand what it takes to serve our community effectively and with integrity, and I am so honored to have her support,” said Kelly. “I am looking forward to working together in building on her successes and our shared vision of providing every student with the bright future they deserve.”
Board Member Ratliff’s endorsements comes after both runoff candidates completed an in-depth questionnaire on a number of issues the next Board Member is likely to face in office. Kelly’s response to these questions is appended.
